UNIVERSE 05

From an unregulated door-to-door trade to a trusted, managed network

AL OLA — Oil Collection Logistics Platform

AL OLA is a real, live web application that digitizes used cooking oil collection, with a companion Flutter mobile app for the field/driver side. Consumers register themselves as a pickup point in the web app; a fleet of company drivers gets notified and heads to the nearest registered points to collect. It works like a ride-hailing app, but instead of matching a rider with a driver, it matches a seller with a collection driver at a meeting point — the oil then moves to the company's stores. A full company-side dashboard runs everything the business needs: CRM, ERP, resource management, and reporting.

Case Study

Problem & Constraints

Used cooking oil was traditionally collected informally by door-to-door traders that households had no way to verify — a trust gap the business needed to close with something people could actually rely on.

Solution & Decisions

I built a two-sided app matching households with verified company drivers at a meeting point, plus a complete company dashboard covering CRM, ERP, resource management, and reporting to run the whole operation.

Outcome & Results

A real, operating platform — not a demo — replacing an unverified informal trade with a structured, trackable, company-managed collection network.

Project FAQs

Is this a live, working platform?

Yes — it is a real, live application, not a prototype.

How does matching work?

Similar to ride-hailing apps: the app matches a registered household with the nearest available company driver at a meeting point.
